How Does Dental Insurance Work?
Dental insurance can be used to completely or partially pay for a wide variety of treatments, and the first thing you should understand is that most plans divide procedures into different categories, each with its own level of coverage. Preventive treatments typically receive the most coverage, 80-100%. Restorative treatments are usually covered 50-80%, and cosmetic treatments are not covered because they are elective procedures.
